Welcome to the Contempra INN. We are a smoke free, affordable, limited service motel, located in the heart of Kenner near the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. We are just minutes away from everywhere you might want to go in the New Orleans area. You are our valued guest and we want you to have an enjoyable stay. Your room will be held for arrival at or after 3:00 PM. If you arrive prior to 3:00 PM we cannot guarantee the availability of your room. If you absolutely need to check in prior to 3:00 PM we suggest you start your reservation on the day before you plan to arrive. All rooms are non-smoking. Pets are not allowed. Your scheduled departure will be 11:00 AM on your departure date.
TIPS TO GET HERE. Our entrance drive is located on Williams Blvd near the Exxon station on the corner of Williams Blvd and Vets. Look for the Exxon station's entrance and our entrance sign so you won't pass up our driveway.
Registration. At least two (2) days prior to your arrival the payment card used to reserve your room will be charged for the estimated cost of your stay plus a REFUNDABLE $50 SECURITY DEPOSIT which will remain on deposit until your departure. On registration, you will be asked to present the payment card used to reserve your room or to provide another form of payment if the card is not available. You will be asked to pay a $50 security deposit at check in if it was not included in the prepayment. Please note that, the MINIMUM AGE TO REGISTER IS 21 years of age and the registered person must occupy and be responsible for the room throughout the stay. Also, all adults staying in your room will be asked to provide a valid, unexpired government issued photo ID in case anyone gets locked out of their room. When check in is complete, you will be given your key and a television remote control. We use real metal keys because these are safer and more reliable as they are not hackable or subject to power problems like electronic locks. We do not secure the remote controls to room furnishings because you should be free to use it from where you are most comfortable. Your security deposit will be refunded at check out as long as no damages are found (including strong odors caused by smoking, incense burning, cooking, etc. which will require extra deep cleaning/ozone treatment).
WHAT WE DO NOT PROVIDE (To keep our price lower): We do not have a restaurant, a lounge, room service, a waiting room, a swimming pool or a shuttle. We do not have irons, hairdryers, coffeemakers or luxury healthcare amenities in guestrooms. If you require these items, please bring them with you or plan to purchase them locally. We do sell various amenities at the front desk including Neutrogena brand shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc., other healthcare products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, flossers, sewing kits, combs, etc. as well as snack items including chips, pastries, prepackaged sandwiches, etc. and a variety of beverages including several brands of instant coffee. We do not sell alcohol or tobacco products.
IN THE AREA. Next door in our shared parking lot, just steps away, is the city's largest laundromat with cleaning service as well as a Latin American chicken restaurant. There are several nearby restaurants and fast food stores within easy walking distance offering a variety of foods you might enjoy. Several pharmacies, grocery and department stores are located nearby. Williams Blvd is known as a "restaurant row" for its great number and variety of American and International restaurants. Coffee is available at the adjacent Exxon convenience shop and coffee with beignets a few blocks away at a Cafe Du Monde.
